Broadcast Design — WELT (Screenforce Days 2024)

After the 2023 edition, WELT brought me back for the Screenforce Days 2024, again under the art direction of Kays Khalil. Screenforce Days is the key annual event of the German TV marketing industry, where broadcasters present their programs and advertising opportunities to media agencies and advertisers. The on-screen design has to feel editorial and cinematic at the same time.

For 2024 the task was to evolve the established language rather than repeat it. The principles stayed the same: rhythm and clarity, editorial structure and controlled light. What changed was the execution, with refined 3D animation, new transitions and a tighter relationship between timing and music.

The approach: continuity with a next step

Working across two consecutive years meant designing for continuity. Elements introduced in 2023 were developed further, so the 2024 package reads as a clear next step for the WELT brand instead of a fresh start. New 3D sequences, from shattering forms to dense sphere simulations, add energy and movement while the editorial structure keeps the information readable.

My role: 3D animation and motion design

I was responsible for 3D animation and motion design across the screen package. I built sequences that carry program information and brand messages while keeping the pacing dynamic enough for a live stage and a broadcast context.

The result

A screen package that feels familiar to anyone who saw the 2023 edition and still clearly moves the WELT brand forward, on stage and on screen.
